Having filed my 2025 income taxes last night, I want to praise the California Franchise Tax Board for having a super-simple, free online program for filing your taxes. This is the second year I've used it, and it works great.
Edit: But not everyone qualifies to use this program. If you have capital gains or losses or Health Savings Account (HSA) deductions or distributions you can't use this program, and there are other exclusions, too.
