The national news media keeps trying to tell me that Pennsylvanians care a considerable amount about fracking, but I’m going to say again that it’s not really on most people’s minds.

Most Pennsylvanians do care a lot about maintaining Social Security, for one, and taxing rich people to do it. Kamala Harris has a plan for that. Trump has a plan to lower their taxes again. #HarrisWalz2024

yeah I don’t believe Pennsylvanians are much ado about fracking either. They tried to do this in Colorado Springs when i was living there and we voted against it in much bigger numbers than those that voted for it but the news outlets kept acting like everyone wanted it. It’s really dangerous bc their toxic fluids can contaminate aquifers, TONS of air pollution around well sites, devastating for all wildlife in the area and on and on

@Jonathanglick it’s incredibly maddening that news outlets are speaking for Pennsylvanians and saying they want something that no one there wants and will destroy their environment. The rest of the country that doesn’t know this actually thinks Pennsylvanians are demanding this fracking happens

@Jonathanglick we had a similar back and forth in the Springs and finally a group sued the city to allow a vote on fracking ban and then it was banned thank goodness.
