Oh no it also broke lunarvim (slightly) by having too new a version of Neovim. I'm more used to the opposite problem 😅

I forgot to full system update for like half a year; I kept installing stuff, update some shared depencies here and there... slowly stuff broke but the softw I needed was fine.. it worked

I had to fully reinstall my OS when a major version update to it happend –with new major version for KDE and from Xorg to Wayland– and I couldn't keep the charade up; everything broke 😅

Didn't check my back-up, lost most my digital works.. files as old as 10 years 😭
I did know better 🫠

@cyberTukker D'oh! I've had pretty good luck with Fedora updates so far - this was a jump of two releases and only two or three minor issues.

I found the repository of the SASS files for the Gnome shell theme and lightly customised that again from scratch, where I previously customised somebody else's compiled variation of that theme. It has less custom touches (so far) but was much easier and looks more harmonious than my previous attempt, and all the nasty looking inconsistencies caused by the upgrade to #Fedora41 are gone.

Colours are based on Everforest: github.com/sainnhe/everforest

The accent colours are a nice addition to Gnome, but none of them really suit this theme very well. It would be nice to be able to set a fully custom accent colour, or set a range of appropriate options for the selected theme. I think there is an extension for it but it is not updated to Gnome 47 yet.

accent colors like what Ubuntu used to add in custom? Pretty cool if Gnome incorporated something like that.

@pixelkeen I don't remember what the Ubuntu ones were like. There's just 9 fixed colours you can choose from currently. I think MacOS had something like it last time I used it.

I can't knock the conky, because they really do look cool and can be useful, but how often is it even visible these days? Am I just a mess of a human being plastering my desktop with windows 24/7? 😅
in reply to Keen

@pixelkeen Yeah it does get covered up pretty quick 😅 I like to see it when I switch to a new workspace though!
