I tried following my own blog (for easier boosting), but got stuck at waiting approval status - without any way that I could find to approve at the dotart blog side. Eeep?

@ovro I was able to follow them both fine from @welshpixie , and it shows that I'm following both accounts. If you go to dotart.blog/me/c/ , click 'Blogs', then Subscribers, then Followers, do you see me in the list?

@ovro That shouldn't make a difference though - you're not following yourself, technically, you're following an entirely different account on the fediverse. Just to check, when you're attempting to follow your blog, you paste @ovro@dotart.blog into the mastodon.art search engine, find your account, and click 'follow'?

@ovro Hmm, something seems to be going wrong with the Follow / Accept flow. Can you just try unfollowing / cancelling the request, and then following again? That should hopefully sort things out.

@matt @ovro FWIW, I’ve seen that at least once myself. My best guess was that the first approval packet somehow fell on the floor, leaving things in an Alphonse and Gaston jam up. Cancelling and trying again kicks one of them and gets them moving. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphonse…
