Something peculiar that I want to #askfedi #fedihelp

When I view my profile while logged in I see my own site as verified. When I view my profile from within Mastodon.social (not my instance, I was on a browser & not logged in) Rartsy.com shows as not verified. It's not the end of the world, it's barely important. But I am quite curious how & why!

Read through Mastodon source code... Links are verified by each instance after your profile (that is, avatar, fields, bio, etc.) is updated; the checkmark does NOT federate. Your local instance will check the links as soon as possible, but remote instances will wait up to 10 minutes to do so, assuming they receive your update. (The "after" and "as soon as possible" is subject to SideKiq queue latency.)
