#introduction time!

I'm Dyson. I'm best known for my RPG cartography. I do work for Wizards of the Coast, Kobold Press, and a huge number of other publishers - RPGGeek lists something over 900 titles with my maps in them.

I also maintain a collection of a thousand+ free maps that you can use in your games.

Mathias Hellquist 🤘 reshared this.

…and amazing maps it is. Have been using them for years, both bought ones and free ones. Thanks for consistently putting out good content!

@Assafthedm Thanks! They were originally being drawn for my own games, but my productivity quickly outstripped the number of games I could run... so now I make them for everyone else to use instead!

I recently started dming a scifi campaign ( #espergenesis ) and I am looking for maps for it all the time. Do you make any of those? I haven't seen any on your site, but there is a lot the sift through.

hey Dyson! Welcome here! 🙂

Please remember to caption your media if you can, so our vision-impaired friends are not left out.

Enjoy your time on the fediverse!

@stragu Thanks. However I think that a thousand images all captioned "fantasy RPG map" aren't going to be all that helpful. Because, really, I basically only post fantasy RPG maps.

do you happen to sell any of your work in poster or painting form?
in reply to MacGruberGyver

@Macgrubergyver I have a few on Redbubble, and will be adding more as time permits.

Awesome. Thanks. I'm not a big D&D played, but I love RA Salvatore and the genre. Gonna peruse your stuff!

these are amazing! I’ve been using Inkarnate for the maps in my game which seems to be a good 80% tool, but these are something else! Amazing
in reply to SamMakesCode

@SamMakesCode Thanks! I've been hand-drawing maps forever, but started releasing them to the world in 2008... which has meant getting better and better with each passing year of practice.

I'm assigning you a new project: Convince Perkins and the other Wizards staff to move over here "toot" suite! 😉

I can say I've made use of those free maps from time to time. Thank you!
