Geschichten aus Balkonien.
Heute Morgen hat Gurrkhard nach der Wachablösung mal kurz die zwei Küken präsentiert bevor er sich wieder als Wärmetaube über ihnen platzierte.
Die beiden sind jetzt im zweiten Elternjahr mit ihrem dritten Gelege richtige Brutpflegeprofis geworden und mir richtig ans Herz gewachsen. Allein, dass sie, um sich zu erleichtern den Balkon verlassen, ist schon grandios imho.

@ambivalena Yes, I agree. The two parent birds have been coming to our balcony since last year to raise their young. Last year, they were still very clumsy and lost two clutches, four chicks in total, but on their third try, they successfully raised their fifth and sixth chicks.
This year they came back, and I had to quickly set up a new nesting spot for them and they successfully raised their first clutch. Now they’re raising chicks number 9 and 10.
And they're always so kind to each other!

Naew, that is lovely and must be really nice to be able to follow them every year and to see them get better and better with their chicks. 😍
