Glad to see @write_as reopening its signups. Always wanted to try it out.

Yeah, I did tried @writefreely before, but gave up, because it was confusing to choose a WF instance. And while I did tried out some (like rant.li), I weren't satisfied, because WF lacks some features that WA has.

So, finally, I can try this thing out.

I hosted my own writefreely instance... but there was no more devflopment over almost more than a year. It seemed dead...
And the handling is a bit... complicated.

So i give up my instance.

I'm on frindica.

@jakob yeah, unfortunately it's just me as the primary developer handling everything. But it's alive and well — just released our latest version last month!

What was the "handling" issue you're talking about?

  • Media-Upload
  • changing from write to view mode and back.
  • federation did not work very well, as i remember.

but i have to reinstall my instance... to give you a detailed list...
