Braved the cold to get some finished photos of my Nisseua Shawl. It's a light spring/summer shawl - but it held up pretty well against the chill today too!

1. A square photo of me holding up my finished hand-knit shawl, outstretched. The shawl is triangular, with MC a rusty brick red colour and CC a dusty pink colour with occasional yellowy and reddish speckles. It has been worked downward and outward from the centre back. The top section is MC, and has a 'dot' texture made of purl bumps interspersed throughout stockinette. The middle section has rows of MC and CC Old Shale lace, that is, a scalloped fan-like lace. The bottom section is MC, and has a pattern of nupps surrounded by simple lace circular shaping. I am smiling at the camera, and wearing a yellow jumper and black jeans. I am standing in a lightly-snowy field, and in the distance are some snow-topped hills.
2. A photo of me wearing the shawl wrapped around my neck under a billowy green tweed swing coat with faux-fur collar. I am in the same field and smiling at the camera. The camera angle has moved slightly so as well as the snowy hills behind me there is a tall, pointy (phallic) monument on a small hill.
