Kudos to Lucas Rooyakkers for coming to #HOPE with a specially crafted slide that (sort of) hacked the projector 😂
We flicked back and forth, and found 2 slides in his deck that would consistently trigger this.
His talk on chaos Chaos and Undetectable Communications was also super interesting:

Certain high-contrast patterns at maximum intensity could wildly distort the image on early CRTs.

He also built or helped building co-living spaces and other local communities.

in reply to Bernie • • •Mitch mentioned that we live in difficult times where the world is shifting towards authoritarianism.
When society gets sick, communities built around sharing knowledge and helping each other are a powerful cure.
Bernie
in reply to Bernie • • •Mitch warned that community building is hard work.
Sometimes he had the unpleasant job of kicking people who abuse resources, those who take without ever giving anything back.
At #HOPE I met another long-time Noisebridge fellow who pointed out how hackerspaces may become paralyzed by lack of consensus, which alienates volunteers who carry on vital administrative duties.
He also warned against those who come with radical ideas and demands, often without personally putting effort into them.
