So, there’s a lot going on. Pam #Bondi has been thrown on the sacrificial pyre, so that’s fun. Tel Aviv was pounded by #Iran, and the US media isn’t reporting it. The president of these united states has lost any semblance of rationality, and an abandoned Victorian doll haunted by the souls of unrepentant nazis (Stephen miller) is our shadow president.
But I want to talk about Byron #Noem. And here’s why. I’m deeply uncomfortable with how “our” side is dealing with this. This was our chance to shine. We should have been out here saying that as kinks go, cross dressing is pretty fucking vanilla.
We should have used this as a chance for pushing acceptance. Yes, Kristi Noem is a monster who signed anti LGBTQ laws as a governor, and who had the audacity to lecture us while she was mile-high clubbing on tax dollars.
But we have the opportunity here to be the moral actors. If you are an ally, don’t let the right use this to further demonize #LGBTQA, or kinks for that matter.

I couldn't care less that they like to drink whiskey. They're a grown-up. They can do that. What I heavily mind is that they do this while screaming that any other adult who drinks whiskey is a monster we should banish from society.
It's 100% the hypocrisy. If cross dressing is how he deals with being married to Noem, good for him. Now let others do it, too.

Can we fault him for staying married to puppy killer hypocrite? Certainly. But spousal abuse is real, and it’s not always men. We have no idea what could make him tolerate her for all these years, or why he didn’t leave to find his own bliss. (Imagine trying to escape an abuser who has all the power of the State.)
I don’t feel like I have data points to cast judgement on Mr. Noem, but I feel quite certain in my willingness to throw stones at Mrs Noem.

That said, I certainly understand the schadenfreude. I don't think it's funny that an adult likes to cross dress. I see why others think it's funny that this particular adult likes to, given that we don't have a reason to suspect he's their involuntarily.
But either way, way, don't shame him.
