That’s pretty neat; I wish there was an updated version of Dectalk. Can’t seem to find anything other than the web version ):

Handy is Speech to Text, right?

Are there any good options for voice typing, Speech to Text on android?
I have tried Whisper which is FOSS and FUTO which is source available and uses a modified version of whisper, whisper-acft. FUTO's is a bit more faster and accurate, so it is what I am using now.

Tho, there do not seem to be good models for my mother tongue, Malayalam. I have found some, but they are often inaccurate and slower than manually typing.

So, are there FOSS apps that may have that ability?
Or would I have to create my own models? I do not have much programming experience, so thinking about using AI to compile datasets, explain the code etc

I don't know any.
And I don't think creating your own (usable) models is really an option if you're not a pro.
