I've yet to find a reason I'd want my apps talking to each other, let alone unsupervised.

Google spent a lot of time developing sandboxed environments and now they want to tear it all down...

So, I'll get the guaranteed highest price with no flexibility for reality, and this is an improvement?

It's an improvement to the people who matter to Google, i.e. not you

You did sum up really well why these corporations might want their 'agents' automating our lives

You mean the AOSP project that only supports hardware sold by the assholes we're trying to get away from?

Hard pass.

SailfishOS seems to be the best candidate at this time

My Pixel is getting a great overhaul - when I move it to GrapheneOS.

Same. This 7a might be my last stock Pixel OS.

I miss when Google was small, fun and gave us what we wanted. I still have my Nexus One somewhere.

Enshitification took over.

I fucking guarantee that all used services will not be what you wanted, but from companies that paid Google the most, fuck your needs.

In principle, what you described isn't bad, sounds nice, but hells no unless I host it all myself and it's all open source so I can trust it

This coincides with my former university pushing a very biased survey on how we will use AI! Coincidence? Yes.

But seriously, fuck this noise. Killing our brains, our environment, and our privacy.
