Republicans win House, delivering Trump a trifecta

Well, great. Full-fat fascism it is, then. Trump will basically get to do whatever the fuck he wants for the next four years (and maybe for as long as he lives).

We’ll also see who the first ones to don the Hugo Boss uniforms will be (neoliberals, stop pushing, there’s enough for everyone) and who our real friends are.
Take care of each other and resist, resist, resist!

the coterie around him have plans. that's much worse, they're gonna dismantle the democracy even further. we're looking at china and russia as really bad for, say, human rights etc. while US was going in the direction, and look like erdogan's turkey or orban's hungary, it's still a vastly better place, I believe. But once these guys implement their imigration policies and racial purges and give permissions to corporations to just shoot the worker activists and union leaders outright, it's gonna go waaaay worse.
I really hoped the sane half of the US will massively vote and get the opposite (dems in full power). I have no idea why they were like "I don't care", but in retrospect, I'm also not that surprised.
Although I am concerned and disappointed. This election will again have reverberations way beyond the borders of America.

It's how the rest of the world will cope with unlimited fossil fuel burning, and a potential power vacuum in Europe if London, Paris and Berlin don't get their acts together over Russian aggression.
The Palestinians will be all but wiped out, and that evil will be a stain for centuries.
Will Taiwan be invaded by China? Seems likely, and that's a catastrophe for a democracy that's showing how better to do it.
