Germany is constitutionally fine with committing genocide. (I guess some things never change.)

Alfred is right.

Germany should be allowed to send weapons to Israel.

How Israel uses them is not Germany's responsibility.

This is how international law works.

Even if Israel was executing a genocide, operates apartheid, uses banned chemical weapons, bombs 7 countries in 12 months, starves a population, lets babies in incubators die, shoots children's gonads, murders journalists, uses human shields, rapes captives to death, steals organs .. operated Epstein..

.. that's fair.

in reply to Charles de la Vallee Poussin

@charlesdelavalleepoussin germany has a policy of not selling/delivering weapons into war areas or to war parties. yet we sell/deliver to Israel. because there's another policy - whatever helps Israel is good.
this is freaking ridiculous.

yet my point is: not every german is supporting either selling weapons nor Israel commiting genocide at Gaza or the WestBank. there's a decent amount of germans happy to welcome Bibi in Berlin just to hand him over to The Hague.

@mc @charlesdelavalleepoussin Yes, and that’s why I said Germany not all Germans.

That said, the single group of people I’ve seen – at least here – who actively go out of their way to (a) disparage Palestinian accounts (b) criticise the work we’re doing with Gaza Verified (c) try to get those of us who are trying to help labelled as antisemites and get our accounts and servers blocked (d) spread Zionist propaganda and engage in genocide denial are Germans.

So if the shoe fits…

in reply to Charles de la Vallee Poussin

@charlesdelavalleepoussin couldn't be more far off. i'm a heavy critic of the israeli government and actions. same applies to the militant/extreme palestinians (or alikes). the regular people aiming for a peaceful life are silenced and/or opressed. and the world isn't helping. it's disgusting and shameful. @aral

@mc
100%

Palestine has a right to defend itself and fight illegal occupation, by armed means if necessary, as per international law.

in reply to Charles de la Vallee Poussin

@charlesdelavalleepoussin tend to agree. but Palestine hasn't been acknowledged as independent country/state (to my knowledge). hence it's in a legal greyzone. what i'm lacking is the international outcry over isreali actions aka genocide in Gaza. where're the blue helm troops guarding the gaza population? where're the global sanctions regarding illegal israeli settlements in the West Bank? the global community is failing on so many aspects of this crisis. @aral

@mc @charlesdelavalleepoussin β€œAs of September 2025, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 157 of the 193 member states of the United Nations (UN), or just over 80% of all UN members.”

Fucking diabolical. The west is repeating the same atrocities it once thought it grew away from.
