Arguing that criticism of Zionism is criticism of all Jewish people is like arguing that criticism of MAGA is criticism of all Americans.
Just like there are a large number of Americans who are MAGA, there are a large number of Jews who are Zionists but no, not all Americans are MAGA and not all Jews are Zionists (rule of thumb, if your argument starts with “All Jews are…”, it’s a fundamentally antisemitic one).
Furthermore, just like not all MAGA are Americans (hello, Nigel Farage, etc.), not all Zionists are Jews. In fact, many Zionists – like Christian Zionists – are deeply antisemitic and Zionism itself is mired in antisemitism*.
Anyone who conflates being a Zionist with being Jewish and criticism of Zionism with antisemitism is perpetuating an antisemitic trope that essentially posits that all Jewish people are pro settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and genocide.

And the step from there to "all Jewish people should be executed" is a small one.
Antisemitic indeed.

It's a letter written by the only Jewish member of the British Cabinet at the time of the Balfour declaration explaining why he disagreed with it and despite being written more than a century ago rings very true.
