it's really rubbish, and tough to crack without doing byte-identical analysis for the avatar image (and even then, experience from the Other Platform tells me that there are ways to disguise that). Whack-a-mole. At least the username is obviously junk, but still the kind of thing that some people might mindlessly click through if they don't realise what is happening.

@andypiper totally. Scammers are the worst. I got one yesterday and had to change my credit card!! They have all my booking details and private info from a hotel I'm booked into, and WhatsApp'd from a verified business account under the hotel name, asking for a pre payment. I got as far as putting in my details then thinking, oh hey, that url is slightly off by one letter. Immediately froze card got new one. But yeah, scammers are just the worst. Hate that people con others like this.

@andypiper also hate that businesses who make lots of money don't reinvest enough of it into protecting their customers. No response from the very expensive bouji hotel yet as to how my details were compromised. Not good enough.
