🇺🇸-🇮🇷 Looking at the #US armada being deployed towards #Iran for the 2nd time, I'm reminded of a conversation I once had with someone in the military.
They said they & some friends voted #Republican this time because they were extremely worried about being deployed to a war with a major power under continued #Democratic leadership.
If you don't want the possibility of being used in actions you might consider unjust, seriously weigh whether #military service is right for you

It's a gamble that many are willing to take.

in reply to Christian Rickert • • •Great point also heard that as a reason for joining before. Sad but true! In WW many even joined so they could see the world, as it was the only option for most.
The trenches of war are filled with the poor, while the elites send them there.
