⚠️ Github CLI now has telemetry spyware built in:

cli.github.com/telemetry

They're shifting the burden onto users by requiring YOU to opt out, instead of making it opt in.

Run `gh config set telemetry disabled` to disable it.

"device_id" (UUID) Random identifier generated once and stored locally per user/device combination (not a machine ID).
Maybe on the server side you can match it with a browser fingerprint and also track you during your cli job.

As soon as the Github CEO left and M$ took over, I moved EVERYTHING to codeberg.org. I didn't want M$ AI slop enshitified LLM pawing over my stuff. Now I only visit. And wash my hands with soap and hot water afterwards.
