On this day, two years ago, I first publicly came out as a woman.

The world has gotten worse since then in scarily tangible ways. I am likely to leave my home country. I lost my job and a fair few people I thought were friends.

But for the first time in 30 years I got to really be me. Nothing has even been more important to me, and it is why I will never give up and encourage you to do the same.

Live for yourself, not for fear.
