really good writing and story. I'm glad you got to go to that get together. I'm always surprised how much little acts of what I'd consider basic decency can really matter

@AbandonedAmerica Aw thank you! And yeah, stuff like that shouldn’t be a big deal. But in a world that’s actively trying to legislate us out of existence and the foundation for genocide prevention is all “hey uh we are on the path to trans genocide” even the smallest acts of kindness can deliver an avalanche of relief and the strength to keep going 💜

yeah, I can appreciate that. The saddest thing about basic respect for others is how few people have it. But I think it also underscores how important it is to be vigilant about it and to learn how to strengthen and bolster it rather than just assuming you're showing it already. Acceptance should be the baseline, not the high water mark.
