As far as I know, US has pretty strict laws limiting campaign funding SUPPORTING a candidate
However, due to a loophole, an βindependentβ organisation that can prove itβs not directly co-operating with a candidate can spend unlimited money on any other form of political advertising
PS. This is why the political ads you see are almost exclusively negative & toxic
