One of Portugal’s ‘fairytale towns’, Sintra, located amidst lush forests and rugged hills, attracts thousands of tourists every year with its rich palaces, magnificent villas and historical sites. Quinta da Regaleira, built by António Augusto de Carvalho Monteiro in the late 17th century, features a variety of structures including a palace, chapel, bridge, well, park, lake, tunnels and caves.
