who is the target audience for his take? Does he have to reassure Russia of his loyalty? Does he think it doesn't matter anymore anyway and this is just pro Russian propaganda? Or does he need some praise and reassurance that he is doing the "right thing" selling out the US? Why is he unable to conspire in silence?
It’s obviously not the money anymore. And it’s not coersion. So it’s ideology and ego that makes him conspire, and ego that makes him unable to hide it.
it's about preparing the US public that Trump will be Putin's friend, sanctions will be lifted etcetera while he was a pariah until now. Autocrats unite or Autocrats Inc as Anne Applebaum calls it.
