I watched in awe. Actors who make me believe I understand Shakespeare are amazing. Ian McKellen is a treasure.

apparently he knows it so well because he performed this in 1983 for bbc radio

i can't find a recording though, it's all locked up behind various access and rights nonsense

this is also a great reminder of why conservatives hate history and art, history to teach us this evil of hatred of others has always existed, and art to stir in our soul that it can and should be overcome. Great share, Ian McKellen is an amazing man
