The alignment of the feed on Pixel devices is somewhat fixed, because the vertical position doesn't change anymore when scrolling through the feed, but every post is misaligned by the same amount and therefore the description, hashtags and share button are not visible. But I can live with that for now, thanks for the update @dansup!

oh nice! I was a bit disappointed when the invite email came and I saw it was only on iOS, but I see there are Android builds out now too 😄

@loops just checked it out. Yup, US political news, brainrot and purposefully addictive design.

Nice that Loops exists, but it's still everything that's wrong with modern social media.

Just checked out the FAQ, and gotta be honest, I'm pretty disappointed in this service.

  1. I thought this was originally planned that you'd be able to sign up with Mastodon or Pixelfed accounts.
  2. It's not federated yet? Why wasn't it built with federation from the beginning?
  3. Not built in the open (not yet open source), so nobody can host their own Loops servers yet.

This does not appear to be the open platform that was promised.
