Bellingcat has further analysed videos of the shooting of Alex Pretti by federal agents. The footage shows an agent wearing a black beanie step behind Pretti. His right arm then appears to recoil at the same time the first shot is heard. youtube.com/watch?v=DqqUzXiXpt… 🧵

The movement seen in the agent’s arm when the first shot is heard in the footage is similar to the recoil seen in his arm in the next three shots, where he can be clearly seen firing. (2)

As previously reported we did not find any evidence Pretti’s gun fired. CBS News has also reported that a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) review for Congress of the shooting states that Pretti’s gun wasn’t fired and confirmed two agents fired their guns.

We also found that a federal agent was wearing a body cam that appeared to be pointing in the direction of Pretti when he was on the floor, as well as in the direction of the four first gunshots. DHS told Fox News that some of the agents' body cameras were recording at the time of the shooting. (4)

"Funny" how these keep getting accidentally turned off or the footage "lost" or deleted ...

No governmental authority should hold the presumption of innocence in situations like this. If the bodycam is off, they're guilty of the murder, they're guilty of traffic violations, they're guilty of smashing the flowerpot that just got knocked off the ledge by someone's cat. Unless they have proof that they had nothing to do with it, in a violent offense or murder like this, they should always be treated as though they are at fault.

This and no less should be the price of their choice to act as the hand of the state.
