There's something relaxing about being around cows.
They're not in a hurry, content to graze through their landscape, and in a small herd they seem companionable. If you catch their eye they hold the gaze, and I always feel as if they're trying to tell me something, even if nothing more than, "Good morning -- great day, isn't it?"
"Yes it is," I reply, and then wonder if I actually said that out loud.
