had i not had #LongCovid and #cancer, i would probably be freaking about now, but am surprised with myself that am relatively calm.
i've been +20 years marginalized for blogging about American fascism. what has me calm is that even back in January a lot of mainstream journalists and the whole Democratic Party leadership still refused to acknowledge Trump is running on fascism.
the fact that just days ago NY Times had to acknowledge it?

and that's the thing people: tyrants expect you to capitulate, to not feel like you have another day to live.

it's true: we aren't going back.
too many of us remember the days of neighbors raped by their husbands, of aunties dead of back alley abortions, of cousins left to die of AIDS or killed in prison for a dime bag.
i remember when mami finally was able to have her own bank account. she was so proud she had her own checks.

is so much better than "hope". it is intentional, it is decisive. instead of the passivity of ponies and white knights, people have finally said, FUCK THAT TIME WE LEFT BEHIND.
it isn't even about an unknown future. it's about us, here, at this moment, saying NO. this is our destiny too. you aren't the main character. WE ARE. ALL OF US ARE.

i have said numerous times: THERE IS NO MIDDLE POINT TO FASCISM. it's like being pregnant. you either are or aren't.

it will be easier under a Harris presidency; but she didn't run as the antifa president, didn't she?
