Chat Control 2.0. Chat Control 2.0 is the EU’s proposed permanent legislation to make service providers scan for CSAM. The heated discussion centers around whether the law should include end-to-end encrypted communication or not. What this means: The law threatens that end-to-end encrypted communication would need to be scanned before encryption or after decryption on the user's device (client-side scanning). What this means: Your privacy is at risk. But Chat Control 2.0 has not passed, yet, & we’ll keep fighting against it.
