Municipalities in northern Sweden are switching away from the traditional style of forestry, that is one of radical clear cuts, to a more sustainable form.

Radical clear cuts were once deemed vastly superior to anything known to men - just like everything else Sweden does. Quite a drastic shift!

They found out people don’t like seeing large parts of their country completely devastated for decades, resembling war zones. Hear, hear!

Don’t get your hopes up too high. Sweden is still the country with the least support for protecting nature.

That applies to nature within Sweden. When it comes to scolding others from their moral high horse, Sweden is still top notch.

Not much to a surprise the right wing Swedish government plans to not only reduce the list of protected wildlife but free Swedish forestry completely from adhering to it.

What are a few species that are about to go exciting compared to enormous short term profits with Amazon boxes!

Don’t forget, the biggest player on the field is the Swedish state itself.
