I recently updated "From Apathy to Activism" with discussion questions and classroom resources for instructors. If you teach civic engagement, political science, sociology, public administration, or nonprofit leadership, I'd be interested in hearing how you approach these topics with students. richardrawson.com/books/from-a… #activism #community #leadership #sociology #psychology

One of the ideas I wanted to make more explicit in the updated edition is the progression at the heart of the book: apathy → empathy → engagement → advocacy → collective action, followed by the harder work of navigating difference, repairing relationships, and sustaining participation over time. I think that progression can open up some interesting classroom conversations about how caring actually becomes action.
