Between January '26 and now, 3 friends back in the US have died. I found out about 2 of them through Facebook posts. Sad to say but Facebook is my only connection to anyone back home. I despise the service, but being there is the only way I can stay in touch. That's why I appreciate this take from @pluralistic.
