Ruins of Netley Abbey, Hampshire

A room at the south end of the east range with amazing stone vaulting, built during mid C13. It may have been an infirmary or dormitory.

An ancient room within a ruined abbey with a complex vaulted ceiling composed of small pieces of stone. At the end of the room is a church-like window with a quatrefoil at the top and two tall arched lights below. The stonework around the window is intact at the side and top but broken at the bottom, though obviously consolidated. Out of the window can be seen a grassy area with a large tree.
