@RodneyPetersonTalent EviCor IS evil. Made my life hellish for 6 months, 7 ER trips all for denying MRI 3 times for my back. I needed it for referral to orthopedic surgeon. 4th time I finally got it. My copay was $200. The cash price was $400. Couldn’t pay cash if you have insurance.

Even pro-capitalist folks should be able to recognize that the free market doesn't work in all cases. For instance, when the only way to 'compete' is by screwing over your customers, maybe it's time to try a different system.

Insurance most obviously fits into this category, and I think public utilities are similar (like the UK's privatized sewage disaster).

@FantasticalEconomics Capitalism should be constraint to discretionary purchases, which do not affect your ability to survive. Obviously this leaves a very small "market".
