OK, I feel like this could work as 7of9 basic suit, I need to adapt the corset to have cross wires instead of vertical. I found my old facial prosthetics for it. Be honest: is this too much for #emfcamp with kids there? I'm aware it's AnOutfit. #cosplay #7of9 #spacetheme
@wildrikku latex! I can't claim creativity of the prosthetic though, I bought it from Etsy a few years ago. Finally got a chance to use it for #emfcamp space theme. Always wanted to cosplay 7of9. Looked like this before painting. I just used some metallic eyeshadow so far I think it's probably better less is more.
I see! Yeah, looked her up now and you're probably right in not overdoing it. Also I see what the glove you mentioned is, did you get that one made, too? Pretty cool. I've got some characters with interesting gloves on my list, but they are all based on kind of normal actual gloves and then stuff on top.
Then, I've bought some backer rod foam for inside the outfit to make the fake corset bones/circuitry, so that'll be fun! Had to find a nude/skin corset though as the black of the original one I used shows through. Handily cheap (if it fits) and has pant/pee poppers praise be. The worst bit about cosplay is toileting for sure haha 😄
I love how that blog post contains "I used Latex that had been sitting on a shelf for years so it was no longer what it was supposed to, but it was perfect". 😂 And haha yeah, some convenience in a cosplay is great! At least you can probably eat without much problems 😁
I don't think it's too much. I just hope it's more comfortable than the original outfit and doesn't require 2+ hours to get into or cause you to pass out. 😄
@pwaring yeah I'm aware of the lore, it's crazy!! However this one is dead easy. So far. The biggest issue is it's a bit see through which is fine on the front but the pant line on the back is too obvious. Might need a body coloured shape wear or something. Just gets hard to pee the more layers added on down there!!
@fluffgar yeah, with you - I'm thinking of putting pipecleaners on the corset in that photo I've got underneath in the pattern of 7of9. The OG corset is really interesting, see below. As I'm only doing it for a few hours, I'm thinking stitched pipecleaners could work.
@grantpe true but it was a different time. Also you're right of course, I'm just being a donut and trying not to offend when really it's a BODY and that's really not an offensive thing.
