We just removed our delta chat profile from the last billionaire-run platform we had a presence on. It was inactive for 30 months already. We've never been a marketing-focused project anyway, for good or bad.
We rather depend on providing well usable apps that people introduce into their circles. Without the contributions from various experts in the fields of security, usability and networking we could not do it. There is a certain quality of this collaboration that no billionaire can buy ;)
