Germany has rejected joining a U.S.-led “peace board” proposed by President Trump to oversee the Gaza ceasefire and post-war arrangements.
The initiative, circulated to about 60 countries, would position Trump as founding president with broad authority over membership and decision-making.
Berlin said the plan goes beyond expectations, undermines multilateralism and bypasses established institutions like the United Nations.

It's a scam by Trump personally.
The charter of the peace board says Trump leads it as a private citizen, and that he would remain its chair even if he was no longer US president (or even a US citizen).
The charter also says Trump remains chair forever, until he decides to step down, and no one can remove him. And he gets to decide everything that happens in the BoP.
None of this is normal, it isn't anything like the UN or other international orgs. It's a private citizen trying to force heads of state to pay him billions of dollars.
