Now war is good. But some are necessary.

Innocent people are dying because of #US and #Israel bombing #Iran. Hundreds. On the other hand, it's estimated 40,000 people was killed by the regime in the past few because of the protests this year.

Killing the leadership might not change things for the better at all. But it also could be a start of something good for the people.

estimated by who? I don't believe that number. I've read the number is more like 6 or 7 thousand. Don't believe anything that this government tells you, Fox lies tells you or the Israeli government tells you
in reply to davoyager

@davoyager 6 to 7 thousand is still a terrible number of people, won't you think?

It's been days of protests in Iran. An even larger amount of protesting people were somehow threatened to shut up for their life.

I don't care much of Fox or republican or US politics in general. I am not picking a side to support here. I am merely commenting on the situation and the actions.

6 or 7 thousand is a horror show. I don't understand why the people of Iran don't tear these people (the regime) limb from limb but that hasn't happened yet.
in reply to davoyager

@davoyager I can only guess, but the dominance of violence (through weapons and armed vehicles) is terrifying.

Iran is not a welcoming place for any protest. People wouldn't even dare to show up on street if it weren't for the economic situation.

in reply to 樹雄 🌳🐨

I feel conflicting emotions.

I want #Iran people to have a better life. And I want to believe it is this simple. On the other hand, I understand the world is a much, much more chaotic and complicated place.

As much I dislike #Trump or his attempt to divert media attention for his own good (ahem #EpsteinFiles are still not fully public). As much as I hate the narration that we are "solving" the Iranian regime problem. This might be as best a start we can get.

It is highly doubtful if US will put boots on Iranian's ground like they did Iraq in the 1990s or 2000s.

It will be much more effective, but it will be ridiculously expensive to do it to be effective. And Taiwan strait crisis is still a thing waiting to explode in near future.

in reply to 樹雄 🌳🐨

Some said Taiwan risk is significantly reduced after US demonstrate its military capabilities
in reply to Francis Chong

@siuying Very hard to evaluate how a certain somebody thinks about the current situation.
in reply to 樹雄 🌳🐨

That hope faded quickly. Since Israel bombed the oil tanks in Teheran poisining the entire city with everyone inside, it's gone.

#US #Israel #Iran

in reply to Jörg Seidel

@lostgen I don't agree. Iraq burnt the oil field of Kuwait back in the 90s. I believe Kuwait people would still prefer that to what might have happened otherwise.

In a perfect world, Iranian government would just give up and open up for the people. The current situation is not ideal but far from the worst.

Again, no war is good. Some might be necessary.

in reply to Jörg Seidel

@lostgen Kuwait is not a very big country. Also crude oil is not some radioactive or toxic gas.

Again, I am certainly not saying this is good. But I would guess it might still be preferable to most people in Iran than for the regime to keep unscathed.

in reply to 樹雄 🌳🐨

It's not. It's just different shit. Also burning crude oil IS toxic gas
