#HolosDiscover also has a script running in the background to detect instances that have blocked the actor or the domain. When an instance is identified, it is automatically blocked, which removes all indexed content from that instance. These instances are not displayed on the stats page.

Do you want to publish the list of instances allowing and/or blocking Holos Discover? That could help the ones wanting (not) to be found to choose a fitting instance.

Yes, it's possible to publish instances that don't block us. For example, in stats we display the top 10.

We respect your privacy. Here's what we never index or store:

  • Direct messages or followers-only posts

^ So it saves public and unlisted posts according to documentation, not just public posts.

Only public posts are indexed. Unlisted posts are excluded as well. The documentation will be updated to clarify this. Thank you for your feedback.
