#UntrackMe 2.0 will be available soon.

Fully rebuilt with a new approach: the app now registers as a browser on Android 12+. Every link you tap goes through UntrackMe first, gets cleaned of tracking params, redirected to a privacy-friendly frontend if relevant, then handed off to the browser or app of your choice.

It also follows redirect chains to bypass tracking shorteners and unwrap any wrappers such as Google redirects.

Oh I thought f-droid wasn't following the latest version, but turns out there is no new build despite code updates like the x.com fix.

I have been using this for a while and registering as a browser will be very useful!

so if I install v1.30.0 now, will it update to v2,or will that need to be installed separately?

@rpbook
Ah, I think I get it! If you didn't install it through the custom repository, you will get the update normally from F-Droid. No worries :)

You will still be able to define your custom instances but the app will always have an up-to-date list of alternative frontends that you can pick from. You will also be able to test latencies to pick the best one for you.
