A color square photo of a small owl standing on a mound of brown dirt. The owl faces toward the left with its head turned, looking at the camera. It's dawn, so there's a long shadow behind the owl. The owl is mostly a golden brown with white splotches. It's eyes are large, round, and yellow. The rising sun is reflected in its right pupil. It's legs are bare with very large feet and talons.
