A black and white landscape photo that is a view looking up toward a barbwire fence at the top of a hill. A bit of long grass is seen in the lower right. Then the fence and a clear blue sky in the background. A very old sign is on the opposite side of the fence on the right. It is a wood rectangle about three feet long by one foot wide. It is mostly gray from weathering but there is evidence of white paint. In very faded black lettering it says, "Hogland, General Store, Est 1920."
