'Free little pantry" and stock it with shelf stable foods like canned goods and heck even dried pasta. A jar of spaghetti sauce and a couple of pounds of pasta can help feed a family
We have a few in our area and yes, people will take advantage of it. Its human nature, but even if 1 out 5 have legit food insecurity its worth it
Do not forget the same "let them eat gruel" crowd that gutted SNAP, also gutted school lunches as well so families that have to make that awful shelter vs heat vs food choice are in a bad spot
