Ack, if you need to renew your US Passport, do it before this happens. Otherwise, you're going to have to live with it for 10 years or until you are thrown in the gulag and your US passport is confiscated. #fascism

Apparently it will only be passports issued by the Washington passport center, so if you need to renew, you can avoid it by sending you application to a different one.
⇧
