#LeMonde has some very informative graphs about the Us Election, yes they are only in French but pretty clear I think:

  1. The results map so far:

  2. Almost all states shifted more republican compared to the previous (2020) election:

  3. The polls have always underestimated the vote for #Trump:

Of course not all the votes have been counted yet but it doesn't look like it will change anything to these facts.

So, a clear and consistent far-right trend, despite all the personal flaws of that candidate and those close to him, that we really can't ignore or push under the rug.. Instead we need to fight it!

Here are some interesting extracts from that exit poll survey:
(Blue/left is what democrat voters said, red/right is for republicans, I imagine that they categorised as Dem those who said they voted for Harris and Rep if they said they voted for Trump but this is not actually clearly explained)

The last one hits hard for me, because that‘s also what I experience: rarely for someone, mostly the lesser of two evils 😔

@peter unfortunately that has been the case for all the French elections I voted for, so in the past 20y or so - always having to vote for the lesser evil. It's really depressing. At least in France we have a two-turn presidential election so we get to express ourselves in the first turn..
