Had to install #Windows11 and I am discovering that not only does it want to use my location, but also the only option is "Accept"

Like.. that's great, they give you the option to let it access your location (Yes) or not (No) but the only button you can click to move on, instead of being called "OK" as a normal OS would do, is called "Accept" 🤔

I think here the "accept" actually means "next", as you clicik on "no" to prevent Windows from using your location. At least that's how I always set it: all these questions in the beginning I set to "no" and then click to move on.

I imagine that is the case but why do they make it ambiguous like that? Why not just call the button "next"? That feels like a psychological trick to get you to be slowly used to accept their slop

yep it's gross. I had to double check all the privacy stuff after install because most of it doesn't have an option during setup and defaults to yes. 😬

yep. Good luck. I've tried my best to turn things off. But some of it they won't let you. And you have to check periodically. Updates will reinstall things you remove or change settings.

My biggest surprise? I had to remove notepad and paint. Sloppified. Notepad++, GIMP, and inkscape it is.
