in reply to Harry Göhde • • •It’s interesting how when I send the signal through the Yamaha's tone controls, the sound difference then is also easily detectable, even when the tone knobs are set to neutral. One does not realize that the tone circuitry itself has an effect!
My equalizer also has an effect, but I have more control over that. It even has a type of "gain" setting, where when I turn it down the preamp and equalization functions are reduced and the power-amp has to take-on more.
