in reply to Allen but one of the good ones • • •You ever see those exciting movies where the criminal underworld are leaving a string of bodies everywhere and the police are baffled and the only link between them all is that they're Bad Guys who were going to testify against the Big Bad Guy, but the Big Bad Guy turns out to be the chief of police and that's how they managed to get past police security?
In South Africa, that's called "The evening news". And I'm weirdly optimistic about it because the mere fact that there are witnesses to try and kill shows that, for the first time in decades, somebody in government is actually doing something about these guys instead of just taking their cut and helping to lose the case files.
