Rogers isn’t just destroying the Toronto Maple Leafs. They’re destroying Canadian #hockey.
And if they had their way, they’d destroy Canadian domestic sports leagues too.
I’m not joking here. Rogers are a villain, and the federal government should force them out of sports.

in reply to Carolyn • • •It’s not just that they own the rights to hockey. It’s that they own all Toronto sports: Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Argonauts, Toronto FC, Toronto Blue Jays. Oh, and they have a “partnership” with the Buffalo Bills too.
So as a result, because they own SportsNet too, they market all these teams as “Canada’s teams” too.
This is why SportsNet lacks coverage of Canada’s other teams. And it’s why they ignore the PWHL, CPL, CEBL, and NLL.
